Yoga asanas (postures) are a set of techniques originating in ancient India aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing. Today it is practised worldwide for its wide range of benefits. Regular practice of yoga has been proven to improve health, increase strength and flexibility and reduce the symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety.
In this course, you will learn some basic yoga asanas that can be performed every day. This is a beginners course so there are no prerequisites and anyone is welcome to join.
Due to limited spaces on this course, you will need to sign up to join the sessions. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. You will be put on a waiting list if the spaces are full. Luckily, the course will run throughout the year and you will be notified if spaces do open up.

Q: What’s the cost of this course?
A: This course is free of charge.
Q: What ages are these classes for?
A: All ages are welcome to join. However, any child under the age of 10 needs to be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Q: Do kids need to sign up?
A: If they are above the age of 10, they will need to be signed up.
Q: What if the classes are full?
A: You can still sign up. You will be put on the waiting list and as soon as there is a space available, we will inform you.
Q: Do I need to bring a mat?
A: Yes. We would advise you to bring your own mat or something to comfortable to sit on.
