The month of Chaitra is very auspicious in the Hindu calendar. In addition to Navratri, we celebrate  the birthdays of Shri Rama and Shri Swaminarayan in the bright half (shukla paksha) of the month of  Chaitra. 

This year, these important occasions occur in April - so we are delighted to be organising this exciting  celebration on Saturday 9th April.  

In India, these are not only major birthday celebrations on a massive scale, but also popular festivals  that are celebrated with great love, devotion and excitement. 

Join us to recreate that atmosphere at this most exciting event! 

Evening Programme: 

• 5:30pm – Children’s Bhajan Hour  

Bring along children to join in the Kirtan during this time in any language. It is truly heart warming to see children who can barely speak an Indian language, sing devotional songs they  have especially prepared with such love and innocence…  

• 6:30pm – Uplifting Bhajans followed by Janamutsav Birthday Party and Mata ki Chowki Shree Rama and Shri Swaminarayan and birthdays will be celebrated with fun and a few  surprises!  

We will also be honouring Shri Mataji on the occasion of Chaitri Navratri with Garba. 

• 7:15pm Pooja

• Aarti followed by Prasad Dinner 

Special Vaishnav Prasad dinner will also be served so do bring along friends and family to this  family-friendly informal event. We look forward to seeing you there.
